Bryan Adams was born on November 5, 1959. His early musical career consisted of quitting school at the age of 15 to play in nightclubs. He met drummer Jim Valance and the two of them began writing songs for other bands, such as Kiss and Loverboy. In 1980, Adams released his self titled album was produced. The album went certified gold in 1986 in Canada. His third album, Cuts Like A Knife, earned him international acclaim. The album had the hit songs “Straight From The Heart”, “Cuts Like A Knife”, and “This Time”. Cuts Like A Knife shot up the charts, hitting number eight on the Billboard 200 chart and obtaining triple platinum status in Canada, platinum in the US, and gold in Australia. His best selling album, Reckless, made it to number one on the Billboard in November 1984. It also is his best selling album, and went five times platinum in the US. In 2008, Adams internationally launched an album, simply titled “11”. The album reached number 80 on the US charts, while debuting at number one in Canada.
